Bristol Water 30” trunk main near to New Colliters Brook location confirmed, diversion being designed.

Whilst the existing main is not directly affected by the Busway, its strategic importance is recognised, and the putting a 3m high embankment on top of it would cause future maintenance issues. As such, the main will be realigned to follow the profile of the new embankment to maintain security of supply. This will be completed later in the contract, but preparation work and additional valving is scheduled before the end of this year.

Reptile monitoring was completed in the flood compensation areas

The result of the survey is that all works in the area need to be carried out under the supervision of a trained and experienced ecologist working to an approved ecological watching brief.

Ground Investigation and enabling works along Winterstoke Road, parallel to the Network Rail boundary have started with NR consent. This work involves a footpath closure which was communicated to Long Ashton School.

Additional trial hole excavations for service location continue through the site.
